I've bought the 580. Was using a stihl backpack one before but thought I'd try a new manufacturer. Got it from fr Jones on next day delivery. No local husky dealers near me. I'm impressed with the machine. My guys who've used br600 before reckon this one has more power. It does like to use the fuel but it works hard and does a lot of work for the fuel it uses so I don't really mind

I have two echo pb650's which just never stop. Was thinking of upgrading to the new pb770, reports say its more powerful but not as reliable, sure enough I was using one thats three months old and it already needs a carb kit. The pb650 is so easy to start when warm you could probably fit an extra long pull chord and just hang it over your left shoulder, might start, might just saw your collar bone in half:laugh1:

I've got a BR600r, used them for over 6 years - no worries, very powerful.

Guy I work with has the Husky high end model, slightly more grunt - but the boxy air filter on top make storage in truck compartments tight.

It's only because of this that I'm with the 600, the power thing isn't a significantly bigger jump.

Slightly off topic. Blower football - 3 man teams on a five a side pitch. Goalies with backpack blowers and the forwards with handhelds..... Rio here we come.

looking at buying a second hand stihl br600 to replace my br200 which is fine for the grass cutting but using it for leaf clearence is massivly underpowered. If i understand it correctly the br600 has this 4 mix engine, is there any known faults or things to be wary of when buying 2nd hand? i bought the br200 brand new but theres no way i could justify buying the br600 new with the price tag! Does this 4 mix engine just work on standard 50-1 2 stroke mix?
