Discovery and throw away the rear seats.

Bob

Undoubtedly the way to go , the others are both reasonable options but wont go anywhere near as well off road and the fourtrak is 2.8 anyway .

I missed out an 01 TD5 commercial over here last weekend with less than 100 thousand mile , four new tyres ,12 month test and part service history for 2700 (less than2K £)Euro. Still kicking myself .

There's only one, LAND ROVER DEFENDER. it wouldn't let you down.

The OP said small and cheap! :001_rolleyes:

Kangoo 4x4

That's more like it. :thumbup1:

I like these:

But don't tell anybody; they're a bit of a best kept secret.

Environment Agency uses those Mitsubishis, quite often sell them through Brightwells Auctions. Lada Nivas are still made and were being imported by somebody a few years ago but dont know if they still are and as they were new, would not have been cheap.

I always liked the Discovery Commercial, but whenever I was changing vehicle could never find a good one locally and I need a pick up now anyway. Always thought of it as the thinking mans Defender - just as capable off road for most people, lot more comfortable on road and probably bigger load bay.
