"European immigrants contribute £5bn to UK economy but non-EU migrants 'cost £118bn'"

Hi Felix, this was the headline to the article..... Perhaps if you got a calculator you could confirm migrants cost the UK taxpayer?

Would rather have all these immigrants in the country regardless of cost than small minded racists like you

“Would rather have all these immigrants in the country regardless of cost”? Really? How many immigrants would you allow into the UK? Maybe a billion Africans?

Can you not see that the present benefit cuts are just the start if we continue to allow millions of people in that cannot contribute? Do you think the Government has a magic money tree that allows them to pay for the NHS etc?

When someone like you calls me a “small minded racist” I take that as a compliment, so thanks very much.

Let's face it we will never agree on this. But unlike you I would not be proud to be racist!

Are you proud to lack the ability to reason? I pointed out that non EU migration has cost the country a significant amount, you respond with "racist"... it's hardly a reasoned argument....

What would happen to the UK if we had 10 million African migrants....

It's not just this thread that formed my view on how you come across. Forums are difficult as you have to try and read between the lines as you cannot always get the right context to come across. 10 million immigrants would be bad from wherever they came from as this is a small country.pointing the finger at non eu immigration misses the point imo.life is not black and white right and wrong. I do see that but I don't see that people should expect handouts from the government at all and by that I mean me, you the Jeremy Kyle type and the immigrants.

Yeah, just ban all benefits. That really would be a great society to live in :001_rolleyes:

We might as well just get rid of the NHS as well.

By my rubbish calculations that is £2,000 per person in the UK

What are these migrants doing? drinking gold?

I guess there are stats to support any view you want to hold.

If we were to tax all foreigners living outside the UK maybe we could balance the books.

Does it include asylum seekers/refugees in the migrant figures? Obviously anyone turning up from a war zone is going to have very little in the way of assets and will be in need of help, which we should give. 118 billion is not only drinking gold but having a diamond chaser, seems a bit far fetched
