I think you may need a calendar to work out how many logs you may cut as it will be that slow on a 16", very boggy and slow!

Stihl say 30, 35, 40, or in imperial 12 ,14 or 16

If you are not cutting full bar length, if it suits your setup and youre not in hurry then personally I would give it a go.

seriously, i have had 3 ms170's 14'' is whack if you bury it, 16'' is a joke, 12" is barely exceptable, but better IMO

I use my mates when he's loading, really nice cutting height.

I normally just fire into my stack at head height!

I could use one at the right money, though, but the transport might kill it.

The OP is only cutting small trees and branches, his idea is to reach further into his saw horse not cut full bar length.
