Hi, we have this:

An Irus Deltrak equipped with a 105cm heavy duty flail. Available with operator - up to 5x times as efficient as clearing saws on any terrain, including 60 degree slopes.

That looks to be a great bit of kit. What's the retail price on one of those. Must make life so much easier

ooo, nice beasty!

How would this cope with 6-8 foot high bramble..... on a slope?

Another great gadget for bramble or whipy stuff up to 30mm is the Seppi flail that goes on a 360. It has the iron boot flails rather than the knives. Notice the lever on the variable displacement hydraulic motor , it can be tweeked to suit the flow on diggers in the 1-3 ton range. This one has just come back after clearing an overgrown 3 acre allotment. It has the advantage of starting at the top and working its way down which is handy if the brambles are 10` high :)

This has given me a idea for a old redundant 24" link Flail mower that I could convert to something similar but I don't have auxiliary lines plumbed in so am thinking possibly leave engine and run has a donkey unit , obviously limited to gradients but I think it would work on tall crappy Brambles etc .

Good idea or just bonkers ??????
