Lasted about 18 hours , Stressed and smoking more than ever at the minute and feel crap for it .. I always like joe enjoyed it but the girl friends has just given up and We have another family member about to go to lung cancer 4th in 5 years so I think a trip in too town and try another e fag just to try and ween us off.

It's a complex thing, Matty. I probably enjoy 1 in 5 smokes, the others are just a habit. Morning coffee, wine, after eating, and when I'm lucky, after sex.

 

Most of the time I hate being a smoker, but there's nothing like trying to quit to make me miss the little buggers.

 

If nothing else the habit gives me an interesting insight to my psyche.

All in the mind and used no alternative crutches. First week is most difficult. Hate the smell of the smoke now and pleased it was banned in public houses and work places. Saved a huge amount of funds. Good Luck to all.

14th day. Still hanging in there. All the stuff I'm normally stressed out about but can cope with seems insurmountable at the minute. Still, can't believe that I am still fag free after two weeks. Best wishes to everyone else giving it a go.

 

Mattyf - don't give up trying. One day it will work for you.

I stopped the fags and bought a vaper thing, it works great. The battery ran out today so I had a fag off my mate and it tasted horrible so quite pleased with that. Battery charged now!

Keep on top of that battery Will, exactly the same thing has happened to me.

I'm like a clucking junkie without my e-cig, but I've been off the smokes for 2 1/2 years now and could never go back.

Regarding vaping, avoid the cheapo devices, they're crap.

Quitting without vaping is obviously best, but at least I'm a vaper not a smoker now, and feel richer and better for it.
