We're happy to take woodchip at the moment - near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.

In return I offer a chocolate croissant (if you're lucky) and a cup of tea.

If one of the chickens has laid a fresh egg you may also get one of those.

cheers, steve

Now let me see how this pans out

470 mile round trip at 5mpg , 24 hours of my life and stop over in a travel lodge for a cuppa, croissant and an egg.

Vs

A chip dump two miles down that charge £20 even if its an artic.

I cant find the calculator Steve so I am on my way :thumbup1:

Haha! You made me larf.

Do they really charge you £20 per load?

We need plenty of the stuff for keeping down the grass in between raised beds.... I imagine lots of people would be in a similar situation.

Could be worth finding your nearest flower growers and asking them if they'd take it for free.

cheers, steve

Its a big problem around here Steve its of no value and no one wants it, most of us around here would agree its not worth giving it yard space.

Bob

Hi Bob, this is very interesting.... we've just sent a message out on a flower growers forum for anyone wanting woodchip/ arbwaste in England (specifically mentioned Guildford as an example) and who knows?.... maybe someone wants chip the same as we do?...

Will let you know if anything turns up.

cheers, steve
