Corbyn Elected

I'm not up on the lyrics of the National Anthem (probably like a lot of the population) but I thought it was solely concerned with the subject of the ruling monarch rather than honouring the fallen. I think this is just another example of the press having a go at any opposition to the old boys club. It's curious how Corbyn is always referrred to as being the left wing leader of the opposition but you never hear Cameron described as the right wing PM. Corbyn turned up to the ceremony, stood in respectful silence and IMO did nothing to show disrespect to the veterans of and those who were lost in the Battle of Britain. People need to concentrate on the politics rather than the mud slinging.

Well said Felix,

Corbyn makes no secret of the fact that he is a republican and not a God botherer.

It would be a bit weird for him to belt out God Save The Queen. I agree that he paid his respects in a different way.
