Stupid comment on ash dieback

Whilst people are obviously entitled to their view points, one must question the lack of awareness this lady has for the wider situation. Her shortsightedness, likely through little fault of her own (she simply is not aware of the ecological impact it might have), needs to be addressed.

Is this her fault, or the system's fault?

Why does it need to be addressed????????:confused1:

Her thoughts on AD will have absolutely no affect whatsoever on the decease or its impact, so who cares???????:confused1:

Because she obviously fails to grasp the bigger picture.

I'm all for self ownership et al, though when her opinion is potentially dangerous (out of ignorance / shortsightedness - and I don't mean dangerous in that way, as I am sure you understand) then someone at least needs to inform her of the wider implications.

Busted ! :001_smile: . What can I do yer ? ...Pair of mitts or a bobble hat  ?

Some bed socks would be nice. There's a developing Ash tree a few gardens up from us, another one was removed about 10 years ago and it took 2 blokes 3 days to get rid of it. It was massive and awkward to get at and we are getting seedlings from the new one now. They root in 30 seconds and grow to 4 foot overnight usually in the base of the wall so you can't get them out. Ash trees are nice out in the countryside but in an urban setting they are a pain.
