nothing wrong with saying no mate, from an early age we are told not to say no, and just do it. but that is when you are a kid, that is part of the contract you have with your parents. but dealing with customers or other folk is a whole different contract, this is where i slipped up in life, i did what i was told and never answered back, a model child but a push over for others, which leads to anger and resentment, that is why contracts should be drawn up for different occasions. Have you ever spoke to your wife the way you would speak to a useless worker??i used to, but that is wrong. Marriage is a sacred contract between 2 people, look at them properly. it doesnt say 'i shall bite my wifes head off for asking me if i had a good day today' or ' if myy tea is ready when i come through the door she doesnt love me so i will go in the huff'

Nice one Stevie and great to meet you and all the others at the show... really enjoyed meeting like minded people who know exactly where you're coming from.

Not sure about this slighty unhealthy obsession with 'John Shuntler' though....! Is it his long wavy brown hair that caught your eye :001_wub:

if so, get yourself to an arbtalk get together, this was my 3rd trip down south and well worth every mile sat behind the wheel. meeting up with like minded folk to share stories that no one in a pub would understand, sharing stresses of bad customers and breakdowns but having a great time talking about trucks, trees, chippers and firewood. i always leave with a feeling of 'cant wait to get back to work' which i sometimes struggle to find.

:w00t:

i went to the show, got to the arbtalk stand no1 there  , still had a good time though got a new harness :001_smile: , it was a great day though

there was an arbtalk stand??:confused1:ha ha. i never even saw it, everyone was either at the climbing tree or the bar.

i was lucky enough to get a great deal from peteb at the show. i had it put through its paces with some horrible ash branches and a 4" peice of stem, it is like a huge pencil sharpener and the chips are a great quality, i see this as the future for promoting firewood, mulching and keeping costs down for the customer and profits up for us guys.:001_cool:
