hard wearing waterproofs?

Hi Steve I've a great skiing jacket mate lasted me 10 years and I'm still dry when we have 25mm of rain in a day thanks Jon

Head down the army surplus (army and nave store) and pick up last decade's gore-tex gear. Cheaper and probably better than high street....

clark cut and climb here, not the cheapest by any means but very tough and waterproof, also makes a great wind proof jacket in the colder weather

+1 for the Cut'n'Climb.

 

Mines around 3 years old, it leaks ever so slightly now in proper heave rain but it's still a great tough jacket.

I need a good basic work jacket for this winter. How well would the Cut n Climb jacket last when clearing blackthorn and gnarly brambles?

£150 is a bit much to spend if it's likely to get shredded.

Cut and climb are tough as old boots, I've had em for years and they are the Best!!
