how does Sycamore burn? thinking open fires or woodstove.

Sposed to be OK not as good as Ash but still a hardwood

All wood is good firewood properly seasoned, it's good for chopping boards too.

Sycamore is a top notch firewood. Seasons quite quickly, easily split when green & burns well.

Add to that very little smoke and not much ash

Syc is the least labour intensive fire wood going . Seasons quickly , burns very well and splits lemon squeezy . I would have it all day long .

Agreed. Not quite as good as Ash but pretty close.
