I feel sorry for whoever is sharpening the chain though!

 

It was simplicity itself and way quicker than a lot of regular saws, its also harvester chain so beefier with plenty of chrome.

 

The company had many chains and would to bring them in for sharpening, which I did on a grinder. The chain never saw anything but timber so the only time they had problems was the occasional inclusion or if someone had dropped a bundle in the mud.

It's to cut big feckin logs I think.

 

Thats the one, takes up to a twelve foot bar, My mates lost his yard so I am having the saw, I may mash it into a tracked dumper chassis so we can take it in site to chog up oversized butts. Anythings got to be better than hanging off the end of an 880 all day.

 

The chain is a bit of a lump but cant see it being a problem to sharpen, there is probably a rotary stone for those hand held chain grinders that will do the job ( I hope :confused1:)
