negative rigging of smallish timber

I broke one of those tape slings years ago negative rigging a not overly large piece of lime as it happens....they won't take as much as you think.

I'm going to use one of the round endless slings, but like you said, things don't take as much as you think

Those tape slings are NOT suitable for neg rigging! I've bust one resulting in a very near miss and quite a bit of damage!

Even a cut off of old climbing line would be a better means of attachment.

I'm using 11mm Climb line currently, but tonight I'm splicing some 13mm tenex up for my small rigging pulley.

There was me trying to be as safe as possible I wouldn't have thought that!

I'm going to be using one of the round slings not the flat tape type, still not recommend?

unless I'm missing something, 14" dia Lime:

tie off, step cut, break, keep in hand, lower away hand over hand from climber to the ground? 2.5-3' sections no too much drama after 3 weetabix? Make first cut small and gauge weight for subsequent sections.

Maybe I've mis understood the brief but surely that would be as quick or quicker than repositioning block after each cut. I'm assuming it's vertical stem sections??

Can you not just place a board against the greenhouse, bit of brash to stop the bounce and drop it in small sizes?

Thinking that is the way now, will just have to ring it small, got some 8x4 ply we use for grinding so ill take that and use a brash mat
