The HSE says the helmet should have impact protection, what you are using probably isn't up to code.

 

It specifies "side impact" which a climbing lid offers, as opposed to only impact from above, which is what a ground lid is designed for.

 

What does impact protection involve?

A hapless moronic groundie nearly bought it a few weeks ago when he wandered into the drop zone. It was a lapse of concentration on his behalf ,this is a lad that has also been warned about not wearing his PPE. He was certainly grateful for his lid this day and now strangely wears his hat at all times.:001_rolleyes:

Anyway can we glue this one together?:laugh1:
