Cinch users

just took delivery of my new cinch today and was just wondering due to the design if it will suit me or not. i have my positioner/hitch on the left side but the cinch looks like it wants to be on the right hand side. anyone using it on the left?

I use it on my left, i to brought this up on the forum a while back before actually buying one.

 

I don't use the handle when using it for a lanyard, just twist the body of the cinch usually with the rope going through my little finger to help control (it was a little jerky and rapid at first!) I'll use the handle only when descending on a single line.

Also found the type of rope you use plays a big part, I had 11m static rope to stiff for good control, now use 10m of ocean poly 10mm.

Yeah Peters got one, I had a good butchers at it last time i worked with him as it was the first time id seen one, Looks a good bit of kit!! I cant help with the left/right thing but id like a cinch myself i think, Although having said that it would be a nice shiny paper weight as a dont do much climbing at all haha
