Martin seemed like a very nice chap I only met him briefly. Very sad news and a very sad loss to the arb community and his family! This incident happened only 2 miles or so from my house. I have heard of a few close shaves around my way recently STAY SAFE people!!!

Awful news, condolences to all his friends and family.

Thanks for posting, if we are reminded of such possibilities then hopefully a similar event will be less likely in the future.

No words to adequately describe how those close to him must be feeling.

Lesson to be learned from it for everyone in the industry, never drop any part of a tree unless you can see where all your ground staff are, if you can't, wait till you can and they have eyes on you.

Lesson for ground staff is, if that saw is buzzing, it's cutting.

Tragic death of Barnsley tree surgeon - Barnsley News from the Barnsley Chronicle

Thanks for posting.

So sad.

I know someone who was knocked unconcious, needed a month off.

Got to have the profit, but slower and safer makes sense.
