All I know is I'll be getting one. Don't like the husky, didn't feel right. Going to blag my dealer for a demo of the m- tronic version when he gets it. Should get a go, as he lends us the husky if my 200 is in for repairs

Tried a late 2014 model (tink the sticker on the chain brake lever stated oct. 2014) and really liked it, i dunno if it's M tronic or not though. The saw wasn't even fully run in and i dead wooded an oak with it and was suitably impressed. Wood i buy one, a big fat YES.

I've got 2 of them, love them both. Will be getting an m-tronic when they arrive.

The M-tronic ones are called 201T-C, if that helps

 

I got my new m-tronic 201 about 6 months ago, and I love it. Just a great saw straight out of the box. No waiting for the carb to wear in, etc... Just a great, powerful saw. I did do a rather convoluted review on it at some point.....

 

Mines being used everyday, from little thinning and deadwooding jobs, to monster oak dismantles, and it hasn't kicked up a fuss yet.

 

Aren't they out yet in Blighty?

from what i have read seams good, its out any time now and about £70 more than the current 201, so im waiting for the new one , any day now.

Thats ok, i don't spend my money without really looking into things, held off the early 201, and really glad i never got the new Husqy, looking forward to the m tronic.

One of the early duff 201s after an upgrade, not too shabby, wood is sweet chestnut.
