Going to go straight over it with chip as I have access to plenty so it will be well topped up

 

The problem with that is it will slowly sink into the earth. Weight, action of worms etc. Much better to cover with a membrane such as mypex. Water will go through but weed roots from the top will pull out easily. Will save you topping up every few years and save spray originally and in the future.

Try googling Monsanto and you should be able to find a dealer or distributor.

Make sure you purchase 41% Concentrate, and never the premix unless you have more ££££ than brains.

Roundup not the best for nettles as leaves a vacumn and nature abhorres a vacumn

If roundup is not the ideal for nettles what would you recommend? The nettles were out of control last year. I tried cutting them down but they just grew up again.

Or a big woodland but loads of nettles everywhere

SBK or Flail 2. Flail2 is for use in grassland and controls nettles and other woody plants so you would need to be careful near your trees
