After I got my CT Quickstep I retired my Pantin. Just got tired of the rope popping out of the Pantin on every Climb.

 

Same here bro.

Doubt anyone would go back.

Might as well eh.......it turns a semi-useless bit of kit into something half decent, especially for a long ascent into the crown.

 

Petzl should be ashamed of themselves. They've ruined the Pantin with the latest design.

Funny. I've always defended it when using it ddrt. With a bit of technique refinements it was okay. On SRT however it's total wank. Petzl don't seem to be so hot recently.

I knew it needed drilling off, just couldn't work out what to do after, thought it would be bend round some coathanger wire or something, the dog snap is ideal.

the velcro is ok if it stays glued on, but that looks easier and quicker, good tip
