a play with some new toys!

Got a thirty quid electric planer from wickes last week and picked up some sanding discs for the angle grinder and had a play with some bits i roughed slabbed and been toying with doing somthing with....who needs an alaskan!

shroom and gave old sammy the salmon a polish wished i had not though as he lost a fin! and im still debating if i like polished chain saw carvings!

Going to try and sell the others at a village show and to advertise and draw attention to buisness,but made this for my Antje after we saw somthing simular but it had a hefty price tag!

Friction mate! i was going to drill and peg the back,but got carried away planing and sanding every thing else,i still might but it did not move an inch when sat on and thought it was quite handy like that ....sort of flat pack!

cheers for the comments guys i think i will do a load more shrooms and that should do... i do have a real nice peice of yew but some one has lifted all but one slabs from my stack and i have nothing left to make legs with apart from a few bits of burr elm,not sure if that would really match the yew....i suppose western red cedar would go and would keep the weight down though have plent of that just not slabbed though
