In these days of the disc cutter with Lithuanian battery, it doesn't matter what lock you have. Leave a box of rat poisoned posh sandwiches in your container to keep the vermin down.

Yes but if it's just an extra layer of security they will either rob some other poor bastrd or give you enough time to catch them in the act then the fun begins :lol:

"this is the best type of lock cant be got at", certainly the surround is well made.

I inherited one on my shed when I moved in. Takes me nearly a minute to pick as they are not well made.

Disc detainer locks are the only really secure locks but still prone to an angle grinder.

Still say a container on rubber pads and a electric fence generator inside wired up to the door and clad the rest in timber, the way mine will be set up only the door will be exposed and all hinges and locks are on the inside so nothing easy to cut.

Considering combo locks so the numbers can be changed for whatever reason like falling out with a member of staff who has keys and could easily get in and course a lot of problems.

Padlocks are easily compromised, even if you buy expensive ones. If you shroud them sufficiently to protect the padlock they use the strength of the shroud to break the padlock. We know, they did it to us.

We have a solution that no-one has mentioned, it is hidden, internal and stronger than a padlock, pm for info.
