Does anyone use the back seats in their cab-and-a-half pickup for passengers? How do people get on travelling back there? I'm just not sure I can justify a full double cab for an occasional third person. What do you think?

Probably a minor point but they're more expensive to insure than double cabs. I pointed out to my insurers last week that mine was a King Cab, not a Double as per their records (derived ultimately from Nissan).

'Thanks for telling us; that's an extra £127 please' despite a thousand years' NCB.

I have one. If it's just an occasional person, or short trips then their ok. Their also fine for young kids. I wouldn't want to do a long journey in one. I use mine for storage, helmets, rope, harness etc

I really like the look of the Ford Ranger supercab for this purpose. I was looking at the rear end and looks like you get more buck space on a supercab compared to a double cab as well.

Any other make/model recommendations for this set up?

I'm pretty sure the Ranger and Navara have suicide doors, the L200 and Hilux don't.

If I went for a second vehicle a supercab tipper would tick all the boxes.

I have a ranger super cab and I love it, kids love it in the back, adults for half hour or so is fine. The back of mine is usually full of tools and spare clothes etc. Slightly smaller back than a single cab but if you load a single cab right up where do you put all your stuff. I'm not a tree surgeon so do t run chip, most of the stuff I do carry, I can't fill the baxk right up anyway or I'll be overloaded.
