I'd have gone bigger earlier, taken a few more chances, borrowed money.

I wouldn't have wasted 5 years as a green keeper! Straight into the tree game at seventeen, and I might be half decent by now! :P

I've done all sorts of crap jobs along the way but if I changed any of it I might not appreciate where I am as much as I do.

I wish I taken a few more risks in terms of employment. I was stuck in a rut at a company for 5 years. I should of manned up and realised you don't have to be stuck at one place specially if you're unhappy

I wish I started my own company 10 years ago

I've got lots of mates and some best friends working in the arb industry, I've worked in places I didn't think existed I've seen just about all of the North East, the good the bad and the Middlesbrough  I would never get the opportunity to do that in any other job. I met my wife through my Arb mates too.

Personally I wouldn't go back in time.

But I also belive I have no real desire to be in the arb industry when I reach retirement age.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
