If you had the chance to go back in time before you started in this field, would you do the same job?

If not, what would you have chosen?

My nephew has paidfor himself for some courses that let him work on the oil rigs. Two weeks working and two weeks off. He is 21 and is having the time of his life.

What would you do ?

Treequip, I'm very pleased to hear that! We have just decided to take on some new staff, having had to let a couple go. I don't mind training them up but sometimes you just know that their heart isn't in it. Which is a shame.

It's about realising what your 'passion' is and going for it.

It's the same in all industries. It is only the minority who are passionate about what they do. The rest are in it for .................... Now where do I fit in :confused1::confused1:

Tree LC - keep up the good work because the "rewards" for training up someone who is keen eager and goes on to be a "success" are worth it!

I'd run a business or be self employed one way or another, I went to uni ( construction management/surveying)and earn more than most if not all my peers doing trees...and I don't have to suffer a train into the city for it and this is just the beginning 😄

I've spent a good chunk of time in the forces traveling all over the place then have worked offshore in Africa earning good money but am going full time arb this year. It's taken me a while to realise but money is not everything, it gives you choice but is rarely all it's cracked up to be. I agree with the lifestyle comment. 👍
