Who hasn't cut down a few 'wrong' large trees by mistake?

 

Why do they say 'chop down' it looks like chainsaws were used.

 

Simple solution, grind stump, all roots and plant a mature replacement using a Thunderbirds tree spade.

 

I'd like to see the original specification the Housing ass'n crew had.

If you leave the stump it will sprout . Those Robinia coppice nicely . If you leave the strongest leader and keep trimming off the others it will be head height in 5 years time

If you can identify shrinkable clays from that photo, you're a better man than me:biggrin:

 

Just think, no more leaves in the gutter or moss on the roof.
