Have to say Iv had the 6inch safetrak for couple of weeks and it's very capable, chips as well if not better than a 190 timberwolf and it's gone places you wouldnt dare take most. Good tool.

What ever you buy some will hire it cause they love it and other won't cause they hate it!

We have 2 tracked 7.5inch chippers, a Jenson 530 and Timberwolf 190turbo.

Both cost about same money and have been equally good. Backup has been good on both.

If I was replacing them tomorrow, think I would be seriously leaning towards a Forst.

If I was buying to hire out I would buy a Forst.

For 2 reasons

The 3yr warranty

Most tree surgeons seem to love them, not heard many bad words about them.

Do you know the T&C's of the warranty?

A warranty is to cover manufacturing defects. Not many in year three in any industry. Kubota engines don't have three years... Do they cover Kubota warranty themselves in year three?

That's my take on them too-went from the 6" safetrac to a 190 Varitrack and the greenmech was on par if not better than the bigger tw.

The safetrac system is fantastic
