That router table looks like a good option for the money......

I have one and it has proved to be excellent. Gets used more than my 3 handheld ones and adjustments, cutter and collet changes are accurate/simple. Plenty of power too. :)

I have 2 makita routers, one 1/4 and one 1/2 ", both get used for different jobs, and i wouldnt mind the single handed one as well, as well as a router table. Routers are a very useful tool. Both my routers are over 10 yrs old and still going strong. Personally i think its just down to personal preference when it comes down to brand. But if your doing doors and windows then you need a 1/2 for sure. I would buy new as well, even if its a cheaper brand to start off with.

Ive got 3 routers and always go to this 1/4 machine. The major thing i noticed was the lack of vibration from the others i have. Defo a look

is that a T4? i've got one of them but never really got round to using it though, reckon the time will come when it will come in handy though.

if you are getting vibes from your other routers then they have a balance problem mate.

i have the large dw625e and can leave it on full power and let go with no vibration at all.

Yes devil great little tool, and cheap to start out with.

As with the vibs ive bought routers 100 or less and thought it was worth noting.

The other makes mentioned i wouldn't consider to be cheap, but are good

Spent some time recently looking at routers and came across this one:

Silverline 1/2 inch Router 240V | Toolstation

I know its a cheep one but at £50 and 1/2" it might be worth a punt? anyone got or use one before?

never used one but if you can find one of these NEW 240V 1250W Router by Pro including tools and bits in case | eBay

this is the toughest 'cheap' powertool in the world!
