I know you council guys consider it work, but us self employed types don't class sitting in the cab drinking tea work! we've all seen you council boys parked up in a layby, flasks steaming up the windscreen, scoffing sarnies and reading the paper.....

 

it may be like that down south but its certainly not like that here only had 1 wet day in depot in 16 months too much work on though i do admit we avoid climbing if its really bad but last couple of days are not in that catagory

P.s we had to have a drying room installed thats how bad it gets

I have only had one job called off because of rain and that was years ago dismantling some big Beech trees in Bath university, the top Arb consultant I worked for at the time turned up and told us to call it a day.

Worked today with Mr tee on those Limes, slippy, worked Friday also rain, rain then snow to finish the day off.

Had some of my worst days in treeclimbing working in heavy rain. I dont like it, but if I start a big distmantle when its dry and it begins to pour down I just carry on.

 

It was bucketing yesterday whilst I was distmantling this hung up Lombardy, funny thing is when its your own job you dont notice the rain so much. Great high T.I.P points in the other trees though.

Rain not too bad here this morning, shame the garden is so waterlogged that the customer won't let us work. Not that I blame her.

Average 200 wet days a year here in Bergen,or about 88" of rain per year.Its actually unusual if it isn't raining.

Does make dragging brush easier though,less friction!
