Don't know about you but I make sure I get onto the Mince pies and Brandy Cream extra thick as soon as they are in the shops.

The question is, who is on what pies? Which ones are most favouring? It is important details like this that make December one of the better months of the year.

Do you do local farm shop mince pies, Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S, Waitrose, Lidl, Aldi (other supermarkets are available)? Iceland? Safeway?

Which brandy cream do you prefer, and would you rather do brandy butter, homemade or branded?

Feel free to answer these questions. Its good to get it all out on the table.

Never really thought much about mince pies, but I can vouch for Aldi's Stollen. An essential element of our Christmas fare, along with a gammon joint for boxing day.

Stollen all the way.

Brought some snack sized mini Stollen back from Hannover in October. They didn't last a week.

Mince Pies have their place but with custard only.
