Supply just may dry up since the amount of hard currency generated from the sale of this commodity may be better served and saved for the locals. Reports I have heard here of long lines at the ATM'S to than purchase everything off of store shelf before new price increases kick in.

Um, I ud have thought, most probably, since the Russian firewood should be better value, relatively, with the Russian exporters only too glad of a hard foreign currency, assuming the importer does not pay in Rubles.

Actually if things really got bad most of the public may be using same commodity to keep them selfs warm. Hard currency will only trickle down so far when it comes to the masses and their needs.

Does the current trade embargo between EU and Russia allow us to buy from the Russians? I know we cant sell them anything but not sure whether we can buy from them?
