Hakki Pilke 1x37

Why are you looking at Hakki 1 x 37? I had one and HATED IT! Belt driven machine that broke my heart with down time and is a pain in the ass to service. I changed to Palax KS35 years ago and it has no belts at all, hydraulic driven machine. I will NEVER have another hakki in the yard.

Bit dearer the day you buy it but you will see the benefit every time you use it and save on service costs and ultimately it will always be worth more if you choose to sell it on.

I had a 1x37 for 3 years, never had any trouble with it.

I have a Disco 3, had it for 8 years, its done over 100K miles, its been great, we love it, but many hate them.

 

Same goes for my Mog.

From what I see a HP. 37 is for the guy doing a. 100 /150 t a season a friend of mine had one it ate belts and after the 2 nd season about. 1600t it would flex when splitting an awkward log.

The guy that bought it spent 2 k on it at local dealer and puts about 100 t a year through it real steady he loves it

 

Now the 42 that is a beast.

This is spot on really. Not sure about it eating belts though. I changed mine once a year on average!

I think processors have a hard life and as the hours go on they suffer more breakdowns. If you are getting through lots of belts may be worth checking wear on the pulleys and try and de glaze them possibly hyd relief valve on splitter set too high. I think most processors are designed to run on straight pine so cope nicely with beech but oak and elm waste is pushing the boundries.

Been having a butchers at the big x now called Easy 50. Looks to have a £30k price tag.

 

Seems expensive, as the 1 x 42 is around £16K.

 

Can a Easy 50 be almost twice the machine?
