One of our customers has had their Fast Tow Forwarding trailer stolen last night from the Lymington area in Hampshire - details are still a bit sketchy but there was a black landrover discovery acting suspiciously around the time it went missing.

 

This should be fairly easy to spot as they are all one offs and there are only a relatively small number in the UK. The crane on this one is one of only two in the UK at the moment also.

 

The trailer is fully galvanised and has only the timber body for it and has a sliding axle set up - this one has the hycraulic bed operated by a changeover valve to run off the right hand leg pipes and has the mudguards permamanently attached rather than removable as per most of them.

 

The crane is an RM international 4.2m with gull wing legs, is grey with a red grab. It's a long kingpost model and is fitted with a linkage between the main arm and dipper.

 

These are very easy to spot on the road as they are so unusual with being towed behind a road vehicle - if anyone has any info or is offered something similar to the above then PM me and I will pass it on (I'll try and organise a police contact number in the meantime)

I only live up the road. You dont know if it happened to be a new disco, with roof lights? There's been one sniffing around our yards, acting stange at all times of the day/night. Havent seen it since tho...waiting to see it again to take the reg.

Here's one for the books - the trailer has surfaced and is in the process of being returned to it's owner!

 

Got a phonecall to say someone had heard about a trailer that seemed a bit different and thought it might be one of ours so wanted to know a bit more about them - asked him a bit more about it and straight away I knew it had to be the missing one as there were a few bits that we one offs for the guy.

 

Cutomer went down with the police a couple of hours later, I.d'd it on the serial numbers for the powerpack engine, trailer hitch, crane and grab - no escape!

 

Oh, and get this - it was found less than 30 miles away from where it was taken.

 

As it is though I don't think anyone is going to be prosecuted over it as mysteriously, when asked, no one knows anything about it or how it cmae to be where it was.

 

A happy ending in one respect but still no justice!
