Hi all, does anybody else suffer from aching knees, I seem to get this really bad when I've been cramped in a transit for over an hour or stood on spikes for a long period of time, I've bought a neoprene knee support which helps a little bit, just wondered if any one else suffered and had some tips!

Aye, this job is tough on your knees, in the tree (particularly on spikes), your ACL takes a hammering, and then on the ground in amongst brash, i find i'm forever straining and twisteing them. Having said that, I think I did my knees in playing a lot of rugby as a young un, so It may just be aggravating the problem.

Either way. Yes, I feel your pain.

My knees used to really ache at the end of a long day, but as I've got older (now 45) they are almost never ache.

I've never found spiking hard on my knees, but I keep them sharp and don't bang them in.

Or go see an oestoepath who may be able to pinpoint the source of the pain, and also advise on stretching exercises for before and after.

Solved my problems with pain due to ligaments in my right knee.

Believe it or not keep off the cider. Other alcohol seems ok. Had problems with my knees since 14 grew a bit too quick I think. Carry kneeling pads avoid running but cross trainer ok and helps. Cod liver oil well worth a go
