Hello

I've been asked to do a front garden job which is all simple enough apart from there's no parking whatsoever due to double yellow lines. What do you do in this situation?

Contact the council , there must be a way around it, what happens if they need emergency plumbing/electrical etc work doing.

If you have flashing beacons fitted then light your van up like a council worker and nothing will be said !!!!

For ten years I got away with murder on a concrete wagon parking just about anywhere with them "I am allowed to park anywhere lights"

The fuzz used to issue parking dispensation on request but since the council took responsibility a few years back, it'll be down to them. No doubt its more complicated & needs some notice but should be possible for the exact reason you give.

"Park anywhere lights"...:post::thumbup: I like that Iveco:thumbup:

The hazard warning lights on a Taxi perform the same function along with the right to drive wherever they want including the wrong side of the road:thumbdown:

i wouldn't be so sure, depends where it is but you will probably have to drop off what you need find somewhere to park and then come back to load up.

Near where i live they won't take any "sensible decisions" on people parking, its your problem not theirs (is their attitude)

You can get a contractor parking permit from the council. There normally free and takes a few minutes to fill out a form.

In Leeds we ring Parking services the day before and explain that the work is needed and give our reg number. they issue the reg to the warden in that area and you get left alone. seem to only be happy with 2 - 4hrs max so we dont push it.
