It may well do that, if the saw is ported and needs more air, or with flocked filters are involved (they restict the air, compared to the mesh ones).

I just doubt it makes much (if any) differense on a stock saw and "normal" mesh filters. And there are of course some slight disadvantages with the high top covers....:001_smile:

Niko, it gives .1kW more power on a stock saw. Whilst the 560 and 562 have the same power rating, the 562 running gear is larger and heavier.

There is no disadvantage to a high top! It's a few grams more, not enough to shift the centre of mass more than a mm or two.

If you looked inside a 560/562 you'd realise how choked they are to meet emissions regs, the air filter alone would remove a tiny section of that problem.

For those who are intrested there is one high top 562 top cover in stock, pt no. 522959601 you will have to be quick!

Not anymore:001_smile:

Cheers for the previous info too:thumbup1:

This may be a bit more difficult, any ideas on a part number for an XP decal, its the one that you sometimes got on the airfilter cover of the older generation saws.

I have trawled through loads of IPL's but have came back with nothing!

I cant even recall on which models they put them on,(I was more of a Stihl man in my previous tree climbing life:001_smile:)

I'm sure I must have mentioned how great and helpful the guys and girls at Husky UK are, I mean if theres ever a problem they are there straight away to....:001_smile:

No seriously, if you can wing one my way then brilliant:thumbup: although its for a customer (who is an AT member although I dont know which one) but if it costs me nothing then its not a bad freebie for them either!

I did a lot of internet searching for it, no wonder I came back with nothing if they are that rare.

Was it only special one off saws they put it on?

Seen them on 346XP NE, 390 372 and probably more, think the 390 as well - we are talking that rubbery raised one aren't we - would use a good solvent clean on the area before sticking it down!

Huskys 'new' fuel is this magical stuff we refer to as aspen, with Stihl's launch of motomix in the UK, husky will just put the stuff they've been promoting for years in their own cans, as homeowners are more likely to use it (as it has the logo on). Having also seen the new husky catalog, there's no mention of the 572 yet... But that usually means an autumn launch!

Hi eddy sorry I'm on about there fuel can mate when's that EDDY thanks Jon👍👍

.

That is only because of diffent preferenses in the US (and OZ) vs. Europe - and it is the Americans that are right this time (about the cutting attachments/rims). The setup the 560 comes with in Europe is borderline to silly, and I will never use it on that saw....:001_smile:

How do you know the high top gives you .1 kW more? It surely isn't so in the specs! Max power output is rated at 3.5 kW = 4.8 hp(m)/4.7 hp(i) on both models (560 and 562).
