Do you know if Petzl will start to replace the mark 2 with a 3 in relation to the known problem? I bought my first zigzag 5 months ago and I'm already on my 3rd! Would be nice to think I'll get a free upgrade! 2 in 1000.....

3 in 5 months!! how come? they cant of all had a broken link?

Well so far so good on the 3rd but, yes, the first two both developed hairline cracks at the top rivet. The first one lasted a few months, the 2nd only 2 weeks!

 

I should add that I absolutely love it, and am happy that It's not going to drop me out the tree. Just wish petzl had tested this a bit better....

Well on that note, you should have one of the MKIII's in no time at all

HI PAUL why do some broke then paul because of drop loads thanks jon :thumbup:

 

IMO, there is or was a manufacturing issue Jon, some are perfect, some crack, my mark1 was perfect for best part or 2 years, my mark2 cracked inside of 2 weeks work :001_huh:
