They sound fine to me. Seasoned tends to be classed as 25% and under.

Most stove manufacturers want below 18%, one or two want below 16%. Softwood at 18%-20% is fine.

 

At 16 - 17% you will be well below most people. You may need to sell the benifits of dry wood when you are compared price wise to somebody selling what he calls seasoned at stupid money. get yourself a moisture meter then you knwo exactly whats what. Just remember to split a log and measure the MC on the freshly exposed face, thats the true MC.

I will sell with the worst being up to 25% and never had a complaint to date.

worth splitting a few and measuring in the middle. I found 20% was good 25% a bit poor and needs a bit longer.

At 17% you shouldn't get any complaints. As Steve says though, split some and test inside to be sure.

 

I know a few will say upto 25% is ok, but I feel that's more of an old level. These days many customers with more modern stoves are more switched on and require sub 20%.

 

After all, the dryer the more efficiently they'll burn and I've found some timber in the 20-25% area will still tar a stoves glass. Something the "newer revolution" of stove owners don't like.

Anything below 19% mc is good if I am honest most of mine sits at around 21 to 23 we have had complaints that the wood is to dry and burns quickly.
