You really do hate that saw.

 

Pity as our one has been brilliant and quite a lot of our customers rave about their 540

 

I think its safe to say you got a bad one.

 

Have you slung it to the dark depths of the workshop or is it still in use?

I disagree its a really good saw when you use it but, apart from the engine the rest is made out of old chocolate boxes

201... Poor engine, gutless, bogs down, bad handle contructuon... Solid block could work well as a brick in a wall but poor for tree work :eek:

Yeah, but the Americans do a lot of frankensaws where they take the engine of one saw and fit it to a smaller saw, likewise I've heard of old dolmar cranks fitted to 090's to give a bigger displacement
