A close second place, usual story priced this job a few weeks ago been past today and somone has had a go!

The Sorbus was priced for a light reduction and the 2 Birch which were as tall as the house were to be reduced by 25%

the lads have made a real smart job of that, i wish my reductions were as naturally shaped as that :001_tongue:

Ok, I can understand that the average bod doesn't know, or frankly care about things like target pruning or CODIT, but surely if they had a job like that done on their tree they would at least think, eff me, that's UGLY :scared1:.

some folk just dont notice things like that jane, we do because it is what we do, i know builders that snap their necks at dodgy walls and extensions that i dont even notice, it is the same in every profession, i spend all my time trying not to crash on the motorway looking at all the awesome trucks and stuff on low loaders, my wife wouldnt even pay any interest in a 100ton terrex dumper hanging off a huge low loader. when we went to the AA we say a harrier jump jet on the back of a lorry, i bet plenty didnt even notice it. that job will just of been a hindrence in the house owners lives, a mere task that had to be done

I know what you mean - I'm going to hurt myself one day by looking at the comeptancy of a crown reduction or how well the saplings are establishing when I'm on the mokerbike.

Now that I work in the same Borough that I live, I'm even worse for it :blushing:

You never now BBB, the customer might be really happy in the knowledge that they got the job done less than half the price of the other quotes:scared1::scared1:
