plastic owl - decoy - pigeon deterent

Recommended Posts

visited a customer who wanted a lovely looking beech ravaged to save pigeon poo on their cars.

ive suggested pruning back and installing a plastic owl to keep the pigeons away. bit outside the box perhaps but is it likely to work?

The only time I've seen them even remotely work was in a around a silage pit where the owl was moved to a different position daily and the chap also had 2 or 3 different one so would swap the over periodically so it looked like a different bird.

Still didn't work for much more than 3 months

When you see them roosting and nesting beside the plastic owl you know it doesn't work.

Prob a more effective solution is hanging old cd's or something on string but as said an air rifle is the best solution lol
