Apparently it's just a bit bent and the clutch springs have gone!!

The older 560's need there crank case bolts keeping an eye for vibrating loose and air leaks as there's only five, the new ones have six... Apparently it makes all the difference.

Useful to know, mines the old type, have only changed the brake band for the new type recently

Mines one of the early 2011 saws . I don.t use the chain brake so have never needed to change the band to the new type . I did not know about the 5 / 6 bolt thing but mine must be a 5 bolt . Broken 2x brake handle but that is from stuff being put on top of it . Still running fine since it came back from Petemate in 2011 .

They end up sucking in the crank gasket. The threads turn to mush were the bolt vibrates on it when loose and it's doomed especially if you let me put it back together after spud doing the major work on it!

Today one of the guys 560 broke rather spectacularly. 4 Months old and the Piston is badly scored. More importantly the top of the piston just above the ring has sheared off and gone off down the exhaust. Never seen a saw fail like that before. Off for a warranty repair now....

As far as im aware the earliest production was 2011.

If people are happy to post serial numbers you can work out which week they where made and the numbered saw from that week.

There cropping up now quite frequently for "spares and repair" due to scored pistons etc

Example of dating

Say serial number is

s/n 11 160015

First two is the year ie 2011

Second two are the week ie number 16

Last four are the number of the saw made that week ie 0015

So saw was the 15th of the production line of week 16 in 2011
