You might want to take a zero of that, they have a 1000 tonne crane but not 10000 :sneaky2:. They will lift 29 tonnes at 56 meters or 62 tonnes at 56 meters with counter weights. Founder & sons drink in local boozer. Guess how much it is to hire a day???

i heard that they would not hire it per day and that it needs to be on site for at least 4 days , but how much is it to hire ??? i was having a play in the 50 ton crane we had on site and like the crane driver said its not what your lifting its how far and it needs to be lifted and how far away , you may need a 500 ton crane to lift a pallet of bloks to the far side of a football pitch just depends on the access

it would be at least a grand an hour minimuim of 4 days, their isnt a tree on the planet that would justify that bad boy..if you have never seen one that big then you probably wouldnt believe how big they are..they needed the 500 tonner to lift a half ton electric thingy into our safeway when it was built. they forgot to put it in when it was getting built and werent allowed anything in the car park.. it came on 4 artics with another crane to build it up. expensive boo boo

Soooo true. I saw the 1000 tonne liebherr used (in tandem with another the same:scared1::scared1:) to lift the carriages off the Kings Cross rail crash. It was parked at the edge of the S.E.D show, and was indescribably big. The weights on the back end are just unreal, as is the fleet of lorries needed to transport it.

I didnt see the crane at the crash site, only at the show. But yeah, think it was then.:001_smile:

S.E.D is an amazing experience. EVERYTHING to do with construction, including a 1100hp chipper that had a 36" throat, being loaded with a 21tonne swinger.....that couldnt keep up!!! They chewed an oak trunk up that was about 2' diameter in seconds. When the machine hit a lump, it just spewed out more black smoke like the self propelled foragers do, the V10 engine management kicking in.:001_cool:

Boys toys.

28tonne scissor lift access platform.....

here is a tree i have recently been asked to carry out some work on by one of our contract clients , please feel free to add pictures of other big trees lol A giant tree YHA Penzance on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Looks like a sweet tree if you want to take video, because there is so much open air space to get good shots of the work.
