i will do it my self, put it on a friends car ramp / jack, so its 5ft in the air

price i do not know, was going to ask on here what the best stuff to use is

 

Schutz is good stuff, though the fine mist that comes off it a you're spraying it sticks to skin (and teeth, eyeballs, hair etc) really really well, or so I'm told

Crew cab and rear body would take a while IMO. Nice one tho..

Get a waxoyl applicator you can use from a 5 Ltr can then. £20 or so

Would you do the ladder chassis in this stuff though?

I would of thought an industrial marine coating would be best like shipping container paints and available in many colours.

Do the underneath of cab with underseal.

My thinking is HGV chassis is always paint.

 

Rot and rust is a pain its what kills all our vehicles in the end. Barring accidents and expensive mechanical failures.

On the transit chassis there's a few holes (from new not rust) was once told to fill with grease as they got from inside out..

A few years ago I had a new rear quarter chassis welded on my land rover and the chap who did it painted it in rustoleum paint but two years later its all peeling off and I think it tends to trap the water beneath it.

I warm up waxoy/mixed with a bit of waxoyl and spray it with the waxoyl spray can they do. Thing is with a landrover etc, most of the rust starts from the inside out, by the time you have discovered it its often too late. The landrover chassis could always do with being a few mm thicker i think.

Yes a friend gave me a can of this a while back- reckons its superior to waxoyl as waxoyk becomes brittle and chips off where bilt hamber is more flexible?
