Spent a long time doing long commutes was on 12 points for a while in that time I was doing well over a 100 on the m1 and marked police car came up behind me and just sped on by when a pulled in to the middle lane. :blushing:

Drive a little more sensibly these days but still annoys me doing any amount of moter way miles as the vast majority don't no how to use them. Limit on Mway should be raised IMO

I agree our speed limit should be the same as the French 130

Bet you never got away without some paperwork on that one.

No paperwork, not even a producer.

Often wondered if they were even real policemen after never hearing from them again.

I hate it when your doing 85 or 90 in the fast lane, then the cars in front spot a a cop car and all anchor on!!!!

I pass police cars at 85 all the time, they are not interested unless your doing over 90, IME.

I was pulled a couple of times in the 1990's doing about 90 (dry motorway at night, light traffic). The. cops gave me a bollocking, and said keep below 85.

I think that's fair, good policing.

Remember though lads, more and more M-ways are camera'd up now.

They won't be as forgiving.

as long as your not weaving in and out, its perfectly legal to undertake on a motorway or dual cariageway, its classed as continueing on your way, so when your sitting at "69mph" on the inside lane, and mr muppet is sitting at 50 in the middle, cos the insides for lorrys, innit, you can sail on past him and not bother 1 little bit

I do it sometimes but it sure isn't legal and not very sensible either really.

I even got pulled for it once many years ago.
