Renewing certificates.

Hi,

I know this has been a topic of conversation before, but I can't find the thread. A client has stated in an email that the HSE say all cert's should be updated every five years.

I'm aware that FISA are pushing this for forestry, but didn't think the HSE had formally applied it to arb. If they have, does anyone have a link to the HSE for it. It would cost us thousands if that's the case:confused1:

This is where my question really is. That's a guidance note, with the wording saying "should" not "must".

So there's no regulation that actually applies saying you must renew it?

Well I'm not , not at my age ! :001_smile:

For clarification, it is RECOMMENDED you refresh every 5 years as a professional. There is no current legal requirement in any sector of the industry, just restrictions set by groups such as FISA or the Arb Association.

Mog, give it a rest, you're like a broken record! If you object so much to refreshing, don't do the job as this is the only industry where our machinery operating qualifications don't expire. Do you object this much when you have to retake your first aid?
