I always have some in the beer fridge its great after a hot day with ice but tonightI may just have an extra couple after being given two weeks notice something has got to chear me up:sad

sorry to hear that mate, keep the drink in the fridge and get a thread started looking for work in your area, then keep the cider for celebrating when you get some work:001_cool:

good post Mick!, I love real ale (but not when I'm drinking it all night, I usually go for a John Smiths or another bog standard bitter then).

I have a glass of red wine every night with my dinner and I'm also partial to the odd glass of Port. In fact, I think I'll go and pour myself one now......cheers!

some real ales don't make brilliant shandy, seems to be only the southern ones that make a nice shandy:001_tongue: apart from Old peculier which makes an absolutely belting shandy on a really hot summers day as it is a bit on the heavy side for a hot day:thumbdown: but thats the only drawback.

You real ale drinkers should try the elusive Hereford Pale Ale - best enjoyed by the Wye at Symonds Yat outside the Saracens Head! Apart from some of the others already mentioned (especially the St. Austell Tribute) I also really like a Butcombe Blonde. For those visiting Cheltenham you could try The Swan at the upper end of the high street. Almost always has Cumberland and or other Jennings beers - (at least 3 ales from various places) also murky cider.
