watching the demos in the trees in the middle i picked up the handy technique of turning a pulling line into a 2:1, attach one end to the truck or another tree and run it through a pulley or something on the top of the tree, then pull the end. 2:1 system like a climbing line. will be using that for sure, i have thought you can add a pulley and a prussic for progress capture too if its a back leaner or you don't want to rock it too much!

It doesn't have to go through a pulley, a carabiner or other less expensive thing would do.

One thing i learned was to take more cash!! Not all the stalls take card and the ones which did took ages! Also learnt to definitely go to more arb shows - i.e APF!

Buy aluminium spikes.. They're SO much lighter

 

If you have tons of polystyrene to get rid of drop it into petrol ( joke ) thanks to nice man at Aspen stand

 

No one is really trying to sell rope wrench and SRTWP yet

 

Prices same wherever you buy

 

Lots of thin with long hair can climb better than me

I see your point, but aspen is made to be pure and dye would add more chemicals to the mix.

 

One sniff and you know it's not pump fuel.
