Hi all, was wondering what some of your views are on the stihl ms 261?

I brought one last year as I have to provide own saws for the company I work for, it ran ok untill 3 weeks ago, a clip on the clutch came off clattered the worm gear and sheered the sprocket on the clutch clean off!

It's all fixed for now but I know a lot of people have had problems with these saws relating to the same issue??

Anyone else had anything similar?

I had came to that very conclusion.

The shop I got it from have said that the 261 is now discontinued as they are having too many issues!

Typical new saws.

You heard it from Jon first, 560 is the way forward, even the die-hard stihl lover is a fan!
