What you also have to take into consideration is if there is a head on between a vehicle that has crumple zones etc and one that doesn't. Had one recently here between a ssangyong and an older Toyota coupe type vehicle. The ssangyong came off pretty well but the other was totalled. Difference between walking away with minor injuries and being flown to emergency care with critical injuries.

I used to occasionally go to thatcham to watch the crash tests

When they rear crash tested sierra the back chassis crumpled and "locked" the two back doors, and the fuel tank fell off

Premiums doubled overnight.......

 

Apparently old rear engined skoda was great in tests, built like a tank.....

 

Rumor was Crash tests are at 19 mph ( might be kph) because mercedes started testing and their cars crumpled at 20.....

Actually, in a head on collision of two vehicles at the same speed (provided both vehicles are of equal mass) the deceleration is the same as if those vehicles were crashing into a stationary immovable object.

I thought that ! . Years ago I used to work for Wingard ( Became Britax ) and we had a crash test dummy that went down the rails to test the seat belts .

Last week?! The airbag sensor software fix was available years ago; my 57 plate got recalled in 2009 or 2010.

 

Bought my 56 plate in September they rung me last week have me a new set of alloy wheels and done something under the drivers seat.. Airbag light flashed at me a few times prior to there call now it's stopped.

Perhaps I misjudged Nissan then: it could be that they've been chasing your vehicle since the fix became available but the previous owner(s) didn't get it done.

if i was standing still and you drove at me at 50 you would hit me at 50 etc but if i drove at you at 50 and you drive at me at 50 would equal ??? a very fast closing speed of what then i,am not the sharpest knife in the drawer i know lol but still confused now
